Responsibilities
Lead and implement innovative projects with the HSW and Facilities Manager and School Manager to create operational efficiencies and improve workplace health, safety, and wellness.

Degree qualifications in mechanical (preferably) engineering or a related engineering discipline and demonstrated experience in a relevant field.
Familiarity with a broad range of building, laboratory and engineering services enabling the ability to identify and diagnose faults with mechanical, electrical and other essential services infrastructure.
Demonstrated financial acumen.
An understanding of containment and / or clean room facilities and infrastructure, associated regulatory bodies, compliance, environmental and health & safety issue is also highly desirable.

Base salary will be in the range $111,154.58 - $124,619.84 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 8)
Responsibilities
Manage and facilitate access to technical research facilities, equipment, and capabilities
Assist in identifying technical and specialist capabilities and support staff recruitment
Lead project management, including planning, development, and coordination of resources
Provide high-level project management for research projects and contract/grant management
Contribute to research quality assurance, control, and improvement activities
Manage financial resources, budgetary reporting, and ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standards
Requirements
Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive research management experience (preferably in the tertiary education or research sectors); or an undergraduate degree, extensive research management experience and other relevant education/training
Capacity to develop, manage, and coordinate research projects in a multidisciplinary environment
Ability to engage effectively with industry personnel and other stakeholders at a senior level
Proven ability to manage, lead, and develop staff within a research team environment
Exceptional writing and editing skills for presenting complex content clearly and concisely
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for engaging with various audiences
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
