Responsibilities
Oversee and align the Faculty of Science's infrastructure projects with its strategic goals.
Shape the future of science education and research through key infrastructure initiatives at a leading university.
Investigate, analyse and advise on the Faculty’s current and future infrastructure needs and requirements, including functional and operational needs, physical assets and research infrastructure, and actively lead and advocate for the Faculty’s interests.
Monitor, guide, advise on and inform the implementation of the Science Precinct Master Plan, project briefs and plans, and concept designs, including the provision of data, forecasts and recommendations based on the Faculty’s strategic and operational plans.
Establish an understanding of the level and type of activities proposed within new or reconfigured facilities and the broader Estate Master Plan, including identification of specific requirements of individual initiatives.
Working closely with the Dean, Faculty Executive Director, Associate Dean – Infrastructure, Director – Strategic Operations and other operations and infrastructure colleagues cooperatively to drive forward the Science agenda.
Work with the Faculty and Schools to optimise the return on investment in our many research spaces, including mapping current usage and advising on best practice.
Requirements
Qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience, including project development experience.
High-level project development capabilities and experience of briefing functional requirements for complex infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated portfolio, financial, and business planning skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a broad range of people and build and maintain successful relationships.
