Responsibilities
Lead a team of staff to effectively deliver the University’s Academic Mentoring and Peer Mentoring program in the Faculty with responsibility for ensuring alignment to strategic program objectives and any locally designed aspects.
Deliver effective local stakeholder enquiry management using the enterprise-wide platforms (OneCRM and ServiceNow) to support academic mentors, peer mentors and students including providing timely assistance, systems support, escalation and accurate referrals to appropriate services.
Support program-wide communication campaigns and channels to provide clear, consistent messaging for all mentors and students.
Lead on the design and establishment of a pilot early interventions program, designed to identify students at risk of academic failure and provide targeted support.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching, and developing staff to build a high-performing team, preferably in a student services context.
A relevant postgraduate qualification or progress towards graduate qualifications and extensive experience in program delivery and management in a university setting or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Demonstrated high level of organisational capability and analytical problem-solving skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective systems, procedures and processes and manage competing demands and deadlines without compromising quality.
Demonstrated commitment to improving the student/client/customer experience with a particular focus on connection, belonging and/or wellbeing.
A high level of enthusiasm, flexibility, self-motivation, and initiative, and demonstrated ability to work independently as well as cooperatively as part of a team.

Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
Current registration with an associated professional organisation, such as Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA); or Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage an effective high-performance team, and to foster a positive team dynamic and student focused service culture.
Substantial experience working with complex cases including critical incidents and responding to disclosures of sexual abuse/assault, family/domestic violence and child safety matters requiring problem solving strategies and defensible, autonomous decision-making skills.
A current National Police Clearance Certificate and Working with Children Check will be required by the successful applicant.

Utilise systems knowledge and experience to support applications and provide sound technical advice to management.
Assist with corporate application upgrade tasks such as verifying and logging issues raised during the upgrade.
Contribute to optimal operation of the team by developing strategy to assist in streamlining technical processes and adopting new technology.
Produce high quality technical specification documents highlighting solutions or providing guiding principles and standards for the team.
Act as second level support after initial analysis from SMS helpdesk.
Lead major system implementation, support and changes utilising good knowledge of IT, software development life cycle and project management methodologies (including Agile).
Advise on areas of best practice when writing SQL reports and maintain and change student facing portals such as Applicant Portal and StudentConnect.
Design, maintain, debug or troubleshoot ‘complex’ problems in the corporate application.
Requirements
A Degree with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Demonstrated analytical and creative thinking skills with a proven ability to evaluate service delivery, understand principles of change management and institute change.
Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction, quality assurance and continuous quality improvement in all services.
Extensive working knowledge of Oracle Relational Databases including query tools such as SQL Developer.
Good working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle including source code and the Agile framework.
Sound working knowledge of web scripting languages such as PHP, CSS, HTML5, JScript and Bootstrap Framework, incident logging tools such as Service Now, and work tracking tools such as Jira.
