- Level 6/7: $87,337 – $108,146 + 17% superannuation
The University of Wollongong is seeking a dedicated and innovative individual to join our team as the Manager, Student Retention. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in transforming our efforts to enhance student retention and success. Working closely with students, faculty, and staff, you will be responsible for identifying and addressing barriers to student retention, developing effective strategies and programs for intervention and support, and implementing proactive initiatives that promote student engagement and persistence.
The Manager, Student Retention will collaborate with students, faculty, and staff to identify barriers to student retention, implement strategies for intervention and support, and design and execute retention programs. They will closely monitor student progress, providing proactive interventions to enhance retention rates while ensuring regular reporting for agile responses to student feedback and to comply with the Support for Students Policy.
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant tertiary qualification, a strong ability to analyze and interpret data for informed decision-making, demonstrated team management skills, exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, a commitment to continuous improvement, proficiency in current and emerging higher education technologies, and a dedication to inclusive and culturally respectful workplace practices. Prior experience in a higher education setting is desirable.
