Responsibilities
Provide academic leadership to staff in the National School of Education, NSW.
Work collaboratively with the National Head of School to ensure overall coherence of state-based operations with the strategic priorities of the National School of Education and the university.
Oversee academic staff on ACU's Strathfield, Blacktown and North Sydney campuses.
Lead staff and build their capability in ways that enhance and deliver upon local and national priorities including high quality teaching, research, service, curriculum innovation, student experience, Professional Experience Placements and stakeholder partnerships.
Represent the National School within its local state through strategic partnerships and collaborations with other agencies, educational institutions, external communities and stakeholders.
Requirements
Demonstrated capacity of successful, dynamic leadership in an academic setting.
Experience in education, preferably in Early Childhood Education.
Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Strong understanding of strategic priorities in education.

The appointee will work closely with the Head of the Department of Rural Health, Clinical School, University, and ERH’s clinical staff, as well as Deputy Directors of Medical Student Education at Ballarat, Shepparton, and Wangaratta. Success in this role depends on developing strong relationships with partner health service providers and actively contributing to all activities of the Rural Clinical School beyond a narrow academic focus.
The role holder will work clinically in the Echuca region and have involvement with national bodies appropriate to clinical specialty with evidence of national recognition and standing.
Evidence of significant contribution to independent and team-based teaching of medical student.
Experience in clinical teaching, medical education, and curriculum delivery in the clinical field.
