Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Define, agree and communicate the product vision, strategy to stakeholders ensuring alignment and clarity.
  • Lead and inspire cross-functional teams in the creation and development of new innovative products and services.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify and uncover opportunities for innovation products and approaches.
  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring initiative and projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the product team.
  • Align with and actively demonstrate the UNSW Values in Action: Our Behaviours and the UNSW Code of Conduct.
  • Act as a catalyst for change, promoting and encouraging a mindset shift towards embracing innovation and experimentation.
  • Monitor and analyse product performance metrics, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making and product improvements.
  • Ensure hazards and risks psychosocial and physical are identified and controlled for tasks, projects, and activities that pose a health and safety risk within your area of responsibility.

Requirements
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy.
  • Experienced in product management and development lifecycle, with a focus on innovation and new product development, with attention to timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in managing cross-functional, virtual teams.
  • Proficient in monitoring and analysing product performance metrics using data analysis techniques.
  • Innovative and creative with the ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and customer-centric design principles.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
