About the Role
The Senior Advisor, Education Innovation at the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences (MDHS) plays a key role in advancing educational excellence by advising on curriculum development, innovative teaching technologies, and best practices in pedagogy. Working closely with the Academic Director, this position supports the development and refinement of new academic programs, fostering continuous improvement and alignment with Faculty and University priorities. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, change management skills, and the ability to drive collaborative academic program innovation across the Faculty's schools and operational areas.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Course Innovation and Quality, work with academic leadership in ensuring the strategic alignment and sustainability of new education programs and innovation initiatives
- Provide advice and strategic insight on curriculum design, course content, and instructional approaches to align with industry best practices, institutional goals, and emerging trends in education.
- Use learning and teaching quality metrics and reports to identify challenges relating to education provision, and evaluate and suggest best practice innovative education methodologies, curriculum design, and teaching technologies for appropriate solutions.
Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will excel in building strong stakeholder relationships, demonstrating excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to drive academic program innovation. They will be highly adaptable, possess strong organisational and time management abilities, and are capable of making complex decisions. Additionally, they will have a proven track record in change management, working collaboratively to implement effective workplace practices while upholding the values of respect, teamwork, and integrity.
You will also have:
- A graduate qualification in a relevant field with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated ability to operate at multiple levels, including operational, strategic, and relational, to drive academic program innovation.
- Demonstrated ability to make complex judgments and decisions and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Excellent information synthesis and written communication skills.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
