Salary: Level B $113,157 - $133,837 or Level C $137,971 – 158,654 + 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time).

As an Open Education Lead, you will:

• Work collaboratively with other teaching teams to develop effective open education practices and pedagogies learning.
• Build communities that adopt open practices and lead promotion of open education program.
• Develop networks and collaborate with university colleagues to determine an approach to extending those networks into more formal alliances.
• Lead the development and/or adoption of new innovation in curriculum design within a course and deliver learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices across different levels / modes of delivery.
• Integrate industry, clinical and/or research practice into design to improve student learning experiences, success, engagement and resources.
• Design collaborative learning opportunities at the course level.
• Support diverse learners by designing accessible and inclusive unit and course material and practices.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and educational excellence.
• Build teaching and learning capability and effective unit and course teaching teams related to discipline or pedagogy and support the professional development of other academics.
• Conduct mentoring of colleagues to help improve their teaching practices.

To be successful, you’ll have:

• PhD in a relevant discipline and/or advanced qualifications and experience in the relevant discipline area.
• Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design and research supervision.
• Nationally recognised research reputation underpinned by publications in quality journals, and exhibitions where relevant to the discipline, or emerging reputation in the open education field, demonstrated through publications and/or funding.
• Positive engagement with research, community, industry and government to enhance the national standing of the discipline.
