Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant science discipline coupled with substantial commercial experience in a business development or commercial role
- A strong track record of generating new business and negotiating and closing commercial opportunities
- Proficiency in scoping, planning, negotiating and managing complex arrangements with commercial partners through to contract execution.
- Excellent relationship management skills as evidenced by a well-established professional network.

Responsibilities
- Ensuring sound financial management procedures and policies are established, and maintained, in accordance with University policy.
- Developing operating budgets in collaboration with CI’s and preparing regular budget variance reports and analysis, which includes taking responsibility for day-to-day and strategic management of the financial resources.
- Providing financial, budget, forecast and project reports, assistance and recommendations to CI’s and other team members as required.
Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification with experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training OR a postgraduate qualification or progress toward a postgraduate qualification with extensive relevant experience in a similar management role or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Exceptional analytical and financial management skills.
- Proven experience in providing strategic advice to senior management.
- Ability to lead and communicate effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
