Responsibilities
Management and governance of the School’s day to day operations.
Act as a key member of the School executive.
Foster a culture of service excellence that enhances the quality of teaching and research outcomes.
Serve as the key liaison between the Schools and University service areas.
Advise on the impact of policies and procedures while providing strategic guidance to the Executive Dean.
Lead a dedicated team of professional staff, ensuring high standards of administrative, research, and technical support for academic staff and students.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in managing and leading professional support teams across diverse disciplines.
Ability to build and maintain a strong culture of service excellence among professional support staff.
Decision-making capacity and ability to problem solve in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
Understanding of academic workload models and enterprise agreements and their implications on workforce planning.
Understanding of the tertiary education sector in Australia, including international activities and trends.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the operational and strategic efforts within the School of Art and the School of Fashion & Textiles.
Undertake resource impact analysis for curriculum initiatives and associated implementation plans.
Provide strategic advice to inform assessment of global partnerships and industry collaborations.
Prepare business continuity and risk assessment plans.
Develop a cycle of reporting and review of school strategic execution plans, including staff engagement and mental health and wellbeing plan implementation.
Requirements
Extensive experience in strategic business planning, financial management, and resource allocation within a complex organization.
Proven ability to provide high-level strategic advice, resolve operational issues, and lead large-scale projects.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality client services and building a collaborative work environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and build positive relationships.
Expertise in problem-solving, policy interpretation, and ensuring compliance while balancing organizational priorities.
