Responsibilities

Requirements
A degree qualification in social work, psychology, human services, law, or related fields.
Extensive experience and/or training relevant to key responsibilities of the role in the Position Description.
Knowledge of trauma-informed services and experience in referral procedures for issues related to sexual assault, bullying, discrimination, domestic violence, etc.
Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work productively, both independently and collaboratively.

Thorough understanding of the principles and legislation related to work health and safety, and a demonstrated capacity to design and implement policy or procedures regarding legislation, standards and codes (e.g. Biosecurity Act, the Drugs and Poisons Regulation, and relevant Codes of Practice and Australian/NZ Standards).
Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to influence teams in a constructive, outcomes-focused manner, and to work collaboratively with management, peers, team members and client groups in the promotion of positive HSW culture and good laboratory practice.
Demonstrated achievement of personal involvement in driving significant positive health, safety and wellness related outcomes across an organisation.
Significant experience in work health and safety, and wellness management practices and programs in a university or large government setting.
