Senior Manager, Infrastructure Safety and Wellness

Salary
  • Base salary will be in the range of $130,046 to $137,525 + 17% superannuation

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health, safety, and wellness strategies aligned with university objectives.
  • Oversee safety programs, manage risk, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the university.
  • Provide guidance on health, safety, and wellness matters to senior leadership.
  • Coach and mentor staff to promote a positive safety culture.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on health, safety, and wellness topics.
  • Conduct investigations into incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify and assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor performance.

Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., occupational health, safety, science, health, psychology, engineering, or construction management).
  • Proven experience managing health and safety in large, complex organizations.
  • Demonstrable experience managing workplace health and safety relevant to the risk profiles of large construction or facilities management areas.
  • Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures related to health, safety, and wellness.
  • Experience with engaging a range of regulators.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience.
  • Proven track record of driving positive health, safety, and wellness outcomes.
