Responsibilities
Enhance student success, retention, and completion through various activities and services such as academic skills advising, pastoral care, residential life activities, financial support, cultural safety initiatives, and more.
Support the continuous improvement of best practice strategies that improve enrolment, progression, and completion rates for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students, while also enhancing their overall university experience and sense of belonging.
Support the recruitment, development, and monitoring of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Student Ambassadors for the centre, thereby addressing the advising needs of these students effectively.
Requirements
Extensive experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students throughout their academic journeys.
Well-developed interpersonal and organisational skills to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to interact with a diverse range of people, prioritise tasks to meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and exercise initiative and independent judgment.

The Student Success Coach plays a pivotal role in guiding and empowering students to achieve their full potential within the courses offered by the College of Vocational Education.
Working directly with students across a range of programs, this role will employ specialist learning strategies and develop appropriate learning activities to support students to meet course learning outcomes.
The Student Success Coach will be required to work collaboratively in a team-teaching situation with vocational teachers when providing specialist support to students with Language, Literacy and Numeracy needs.
