Salary: Professor (Level E) or Associate Professor (Level D) An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated

Working Hours: 0.3 to 0.5 FTE (Part time) negotiable
Basis of Employment: Fixed Term 3 Years. The employee will retain an underlying continuing position as a Level D/E in the University (as appropriate)
Opportunity
The Academic Director of the Melbourne Global Centre – Delhi leads the program of academic engagement activities at the University’s Melbourne Global Centre – Delhi.
Based across both Melbourne and Delhi, the Academic Director identifies opportunities for and drives the delivery of a set of engagement activities with existing and new partners and stakeholders, aimed at showcasing the University’s broad academic depth to advance its reach, reputation, and impact objectives in India.
Your Role
The incumbent will be a senior member of the University’s Global Cluster within the broader Global, Culture and Engagement (GCE) portfolio of Chancellery. You will work closely with colleagues across Faculties, Chancellery, Communications and Marketing, Advancement and Future Students on a coordinated, long-term plan to develop the University’s engagement in India.
Working with other senior colleagues, the Academic Director, Melbourne Global Centre – Delhi will provide advice to the GCE portfolio on implementing the University’s engagement in India and report to the Pro Vice Chancellor (International) or equivalent position as defined from time to time.
About You
As a member of the professoriate of the University of Melbourne, you will have attained recognition as an authority at the international level within your discipline.
You will possess.
- A current level D or E appointment at the University of Melbourne.
- Demonstrated evidence of outstanding academic and administrative leadership in a large complex organisational environment.
- Excellent knowledge, and understanding of, the University’s global objectives and strategy including Advancing Melbourne Globally 2030.
- Demonstrated evidence of the ability to provide effective strategic and innovative direction within the University, particularly in relation to global engagement and partnerships in India.
