Salary
Take-home salary approximately $111K - $162K annually plus 17% superannuation. Your take-home salary will be dependent on your specific roster, including loadings of 50% for weekend shifts, 25% for night shifts, and 15% for afternoon shifts. The total package will be negotiated based on individual merits.
Responsibilities
Managing cases presenting to the primary care service, including routine and urgent/emergency cases.
Contribute to the emergency and urgent care service, covering day, weekend, and after-hours shifts.
Engage in clinical teaching and instruction for undergraduate veterinary science and veterinary technology students.
Provide clinical training and mentorship to small animal interns and junior clinicians.
Collaborate closely with specialists and experienced clinicians across various disciplines to deliver exceptional care and expertise to our patients and clients.
Requirements
Extensive experience in emergency and critical care, or any stage of the career journey.
Commitment to providing high-quality, relationship-centred care to small animal patients and clients.
BVSc (or equivalent) that is registrable in Queensland.
Eligible candidates with the right to practice veterinary science outside Australia may obtain special registration as a veterinary surgeon or specialist for research or teaching roles at the University of Queensland, provided they have the relevant qualifications and experience.
May be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
Evidence of immunisation against certain vaccine preventable diseases.
