Join our growing Small Animal Primary Care team at UQ Vets, a leading veterinary facility committed to delivering high-quality care and compassionate services.
As an Emergency & Urgent Care Veterinarian, you will provide exceptional care to small animal patients including avian and exotic species, in urgent and critical situations.
This is a full-time permanent position.
An approximate take-home figure may sit in the range $111K - $162K base plus 17% super. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.
However, as a 24-hour operation, your take-home salary will be dependent on your specific roster, including loadings of 50% for weekend shifts, 25% for night shifts, and 15% for afternoon shifts. You will demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality, relationship-centred care to small animal patients and clients with a passion for veterinary education.
You should hold a BVSc (or equivalent) that is registrable in Queensland.
Eligible candidates with the right to practice veterinary science outside Australia may obtain special registration as a veterinary surgeon or specialist for research or teaching roles at the University of Queensland, provided they have the relevant qualifications and experience (under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1936, Section 19E).
The successful candidate may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
It is a condition of employment for this role that you will be required to provide evidence of immunisation against certain vaccine preventable diseases.
