Salary
  • Take-home salary approximately $111K - $162K annually plus 17% superannuation. Regular remuneration increases at least once a year. Additional loadings of 50% for weekend shifts, 25% for night shifts, and 15% for afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Managing cases presenting to the primary care service, including routine and urgent/emergency cases.
  • Contribute to the emergency and urgent care service, covering day, weekend, and after-hours shifts.
  • Engage in clinical teaching and instruction for undergraduate veterinary science and veterinary technology students.
  • Provide clinical training and mentorship to small animal interns and junior clinicians.
  • Collaborate closely with specialists and experienced clinicians across various disciplines to deliver exceptional care and expertise to our patients and clients.

Requirements
  • Extensive experience in emergency and critical care, or at any stage of your career journey.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, relationship-centred care to small animal patients and clients.
  • Hold a BVSc (or equivalent) that is registrable in Queensland.
  • Eligible candidates may obtain special registration as a veterinary surgeon or specialist for research or teaching roles at the University of Queensland.
