Responsibilities
- Deliver Electrical and Instrumentation Programs based at RMIT’s City Campus, with potential work at other campuses.
- Responsible for the delivery of course material and assessing students.
- Supervise students enrolled in Electrical & Instrumentation and Control courses.
- Participate in the School’s continuing reviews of course content and development.
- Engage in the development and delivery of teaching methods, including online delivery.
- Interact with external organisations, industry groups, and RMIT staff.
- Ensure vocational competence meets or exceeds the education level being delivered.
Requirements
- Mandatory Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116).
- Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (TAE50116) - Desirable.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments.
- Effective presentation and facilitation skills, and use of flexible teaching methods.
- Skills and experience in competency-based assessment.
- Experience in the Electrical industry with substantial discipline knowledge.
- Ability to diagnose learning problems in students and propose effective solutions.
- Capacity to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive team member.
- Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
