Responsibilities
Developing innovative, lightweight, and fire-resistant masonry blocks and facades for enhancing bushfire resiliency of housing and buildings using aerated concrete and concrete 3D printing technologies.
Actively building research collaborations and partnerships within and across civil infrastructure, under the mentorship of senior academic employees.
Contributing to the growth of the Centre’s postgraduate research program in the testing and modelling of resilient infrastructure.
Establishing and building collaborative research partnerships with a variety of partners.
Requirements
An Honours degree or higher qualification in Structural or Civil Engineering with a specialisation in concrete technology. Progression towards or completion of a Doctoral qualification will be highly regarded.
Relevant professional experience and research expertise in lightweight concrete technology, in particular for the application of extrusion and 3D printing technologies as well as material testing, fire testing and modelling.
Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage effectively with key internal and external stakeholders.
