Responsibilities
Deliver specified children’s programs as per the prescribed lesson plan, adjusting for the differing interests and abilities of children where appropriate.
Effectively supervise children and maintain a clean and safe environment for children, families and team members.
Interact with and manage children’s behaviour appropriately for their age and developmental level, with support from other teaching staff or the supervisor as required.
Set up and pack away the physical environment, creating inviting spaces that are developmentally appropriate, engage children, and foster learning.
Under direction, assist in the preparation of the program including content writing and review of courses, applicable to level of role.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
Valid Working with Children Check (Paid) Clearance
Current Anaphylaxis Management Training Certificate
Experience working with children in an educational setting (pre-school, primary, high school or other relevant settings)
Demonstrated ability in the supervision of children and maintaining a clean and safe environment for children
Awareness of child development and appropriate strategies for interacting with children
Experience working effectively in a team
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain respectful and ethical relationships with colleagues, children, school staff and families
Understanding of Child Protection responsibilities and practices for keeping children safe
Willingness to deliver programs at multiple and/or off-site locations with varying hours
Relevant qualification, or enrolment in relevant degree which may include Education, STEM or Creative Arts

The Human Geography team have broad research expertise and leadership in the areas of social, political and institutional analyses of climate change adaptation, climate resilience and disaster risk reduction across the Indo-Pacific region.
Requirements
The successful applicant will have a strong academic track record in one or more of the following: geography, environmental sociology, environmental humanities, and governance and policy.
