Salary
  • Level A – $83,468 – $113,262 p.a. plus 17% super

Responsibilities
  • Undertake internationally competitive accelerator-based research leading to journal publications
  • Pursue world-leading accelerator-based Physics using the unique suite of capabilities available in the Melbourne Pelletron laboratory
  • Present research outcomes at national and international conferences and workshops
  • Assist in the supervision and training of research students.

Requirements
  • A PhD or equivalent in a relevant area of experimental physics
  • Research experience/demonstrated experience in particle accelerator based scientific research
  • An ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a team towards a common goal
  • A demonstrated aptitude for research, with a sound publication record in relevant areas, commensurate with experience and opportunities
  • Strong evidence of ability and desire to build an academic research career trajectory.
