Salary
Associate Lecturer (Level A) $98,574 - $105,611 or Lecturer (Level B) $111,031 - $131,335 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.
Responsibilities
Contribute to and establish new capabilities and research streams within a dynamic research program.
Deliver teaching in microbiology/parasitology, zoonotic diseases, and biotechnology.
Introduce innovative approaches to teaching at all undergraduate levels.
Supervise Honours, Masters, and PhD students.
Travel to China for teaching as part of the Haide College program.
Requirements
PhD or equivalent degree in Biological/Biomedical Sciences with a focus on molecular and/or protein biology.
Demonstrated research excellence and knowledge in molecular and/or protein biology.
Potential to contribute positively to and/or obtain external funding as a co/lead investigator (Level A).
Demonstrated success in contributing to or obtaining external funding as a co/lead investigator (Level B).
Demonstrated teaching experience in parasite molecular and/or protein biology at undergraduate level (Level B).
Experience in the supervision of Honours, Masters, and/or PhD level students (Level B).

Responsibilities
Account management of key research partnerships.
Driving new research partnerships and growing associated investment.
Providing consolidated and commercially-focused support for all services that deliver research revenue.
Engaging with external stakeholders related to competitive research grants, contract R&D, consultancy arrangements, collaborative research partnerships, Intellectual Property management, technology licensing and spin-out company formation.
Requirements
Substantial demonstrated experience in managing and implementing major industry partnership initiatives in a university environment.
Highly developed oral communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to engage successfully with multiple stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.
Understanding of national and/or international research funding opportunities and mechanisms.
Experience in developing business cases, funding proposals and research agreements.
Well-developed account management skills, including planning, researching, monitoring and managing multiple partnerships.
