Responsibilities
Lead a team of collection experts to manage, curate and promote the unique and diverse collections of the University.
Coordinate the effective operational management of special collections within the University Library.
Lead professional staff and volunteers responsible for collection management activities.
Promote the discovery and use of special collections as an integral part of the University Library’s teaching, learning and research resources and programs.
Requirements
Proven ability to lead teams and contribute to effective change management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise with staff, management, and collection stakeholders.
Demonstrated high-level organisational and problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and project management.
Experience in managing, preserving and providing access to archives, manuscripts, rare books, or other special collections based on current theory and best practice.
Proven ability to respond to emerging and competing priorities and understand current trends and issues in relation to collection management.
