Responsibilities
- Leading complex commercial transactions, overseeing financial modelling, due diligence, and stakeholder engagement to support strategic decision-making.
- Developing and managing sophisticated financial models for various transaction types, considering factors like profitability, financing alternatives, and internal policies.
- Overseeing the transaction pipeline, ensuring efficient processes, record-keeping, and resource allocation to meet stakeholder expectations.
- Fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the University as a trusted and commercial partner.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, legal, accounting, economics or a relevant discipline alongside a mix of education (e.g. MFin, MBA) and relevant experience in the corporate sector.
- Desirable for the appointee to have relevant postgraduate / professional accreditation (e.g. CFA, CA/CPA, GradAppFin).
- Extensive knowledge and experience in M&A transaction working processes, preferably through to financial close and transition arrangements.

Responsibilities
- Leading complex commercial contracts, debt, and equity transactions, coordinating workstreams across internal and external teams.
- Leading a team to manage, prioritise, and execute commercial negotiations and investment opportunities.
- Developing and implementing a transaction process framework, ensuring alignment with the University's investment process and overseeing effective record-keeping.
- Maintaining a transaction prospects pipeline and resourcing plan, ensuring the team can meet expectations and source external expertise as needed.
- Providing senior leadership to due diligence processes, assessing financial, legal, operational, and strategic aspects of business development opportunities.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, law, accounting, economics or strategy + CFA, CA/CPA, MBA etc.
- Demonstrated experience across leadership of strategy, people and influencing change.
- Advanced skill level across the areas of corporate finance knowledge, deal management and execution, and understanding of the tertiary institution business model alongside commercial arrangements.
- Significant experience and success in leading large M&A origination transactions through to financial close and transition arrangements.
- Advanced stakeholder management, commercial acumen and financial analysis capabilities.

- Developing and managing complex financial models for various commercial transactions, encompassing due diligence, project finance, and stakeholder reporting.
- Overseeing the transaction pipeline, ensuring efficient processes, record-keeping, and resource allocation to meet stakeholder expectations.
- Fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the University as a trusted and commercial partner.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, legal, accounting, economics or a relevant discipline alongside a mix of education and relevant experience in the corporate sector.
- Deep expertise in financial modelling, asset valuation, and M&A processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Keen eye for detail and a commercial mindset.
- Experience with VBA and understanding a range of corporate structures would be advantageous.
- Desirable to have secured or be working towards relevant postgraduate/professional accreditation (e.g. CFA, CA/CPA, MBA, GradAppFin).
- Highly developed knowledge and application of corporate finance principles, business development strategy and execution, formation of commercial and investment recommendations.
