Salary
- Base salary will be in the range $64,963.44 - $71,505.71 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 3)
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with inquiries about chemicals, laboratory consumables, or chemical waste by phone, email, or in person.
- Receive deliveries, check against purchase orders, identify stock lines, and manage back orders and redistributions.
- Report any delivery discrepancies to suppliers and conduct stock counts to determine daily stock needs.
- Pick and pack orders for chemicals and laboratory consumables, as well as prepare chemical waste bottles and labels daily for delivery.
- Deliver chemicals and collect chemical waste from schools and centers, ensuring compliance with dangerous goods regulations.
- Assist with laboratory relocations of hazardous chemicals between sites.
- Operate manual handling equipment, Mobile Elevated Work Platform, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus, and forklift truck as required.
- Assist with monthly safety audits and other duties as directed by the Store Manager.
- Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety regulations and wear required PPE.
Requirements
- Completion of trades certificate or Certificate III; or Completion of Year 12 or a Certificate II with relevant work experience.
- Unrestricted current drivers license.
- Relevant stores experience.
- Ability to prioritise work and perform in an efficient and timely manner.
- Computer literacy and good keyboard skills with the ability to accurately process client orders and goods receipt.
- Good oral and written communication skills, including a professional telephone manner.
- Ability to work in a flexible team environment.
- A strong orientation to the provision of a high level of client service.
- An understanding of and commitment to the principles of equity and equal opportunity.

Responsibilities
- Receiving, unpacking, storing, manual handling, and disposal of a variety of consumables, equipment, and chemicals in line with statutory guidelines.
- Log maintenance jobs, follow up on outstanding work, and assist with school-wide maintenance and auditing activities.
- Perform ad hoc test tagging of electrical equipment and other duties as directed by the Facilities Manager.
Requirements
- Relevant work-related experience or a certificate level qualification with post-certificate work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
- Demonstrated ability to accept responsibility, work in an autonomous manner and exercise initiative.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise competing work demands and work in an efficient and well-organised manner under pressure.
- A strong orientation to the provision of a high level of client service with sound communication skills, and the ability to positively engage with and relate to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Desirable: Experience in working within a research environment with knowledge of policies and procedures relating to Occupational Health and Safety, Risk Assessments, and Dangerous Goods Regulations.
- The successful candidate is required to hold a valid and current driver’s licence and may be required to complete pre-employment checks, including the right to work in Australia.
