Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
Coordinate asset valuation activities, developing effective relationships with stakeholders across the University.
Provide support for any finance system upgrades and implementation.
In collaboration with the broader finance team, prepare the capital elements to support the Long-Term Financial Plan, Annual Budget, and Periodic Forecasts.
Provide expert technical knowledge in relation to the application of Australian Accounting Standards, and best practice approaches to accounting for assets.
Deliver month-end and year-end close procedures, including statutory reporting.
Drive continuous improvement in reporting, accounting and general ledger practices.
Be involved with a range of interesting projects as a subject matter expert.
Requirements
Hold post-graduate qualifications in accounting (CAANZ or CPA) or equivalent experience.
Have a strong background in financial accounting.
Have the ability to lead a small team, building their capability and delivering exceptional outcomes.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to develop effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Be a strategic thinker who can provide clear advice and insight within a complex organisation.

Responsibilities
Co-ordinate high impact and sustainable alumni engagement initiatives designed to engage with UQ’s 340,000 alumni.
Provide support to Faculties and Units wishing to organise alumni initiatives.
Manage senior relationships with a diverse range of internal executives and external constituents.
Represent Advancement leadership at appropriate functions; liaise with, and host if appropriate, external presenters and guests.
Ensure appropriate and timely advertising and promotion of engagement initiatives through all relevant channels.
Liaise with external suppliers to negotiate the best outcome for all aspects of the events.
Prepare all event briefing material, such as event proposals, running sheets, briefing notes and guest lists.
Liaise with advancement team around pre- and post-event communications.
Develop systems to track, evaluate and improve engagement initiatives.
Liaise with faculty alumni staff to ensure that goals and objectives of alumni relations engagement is aligned across the university.
Collaborate with the Annual Giving team and Faculties to develop giving/fundraising initiatives.
Requirements
A tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience, or extensive work experience/specialist expertise in community engagement, events management and/or communications.
Highly effective organisational and planning skills including excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
A sound understanding of basic fundraising and alumni relations principles.
An understanding of marketing and communications principles.
Demonstrated ability to manage high quality events and activities within designated budgets.
Proficiency in the use of a wide range of computer applications.
Knowledge of the preparation and monitoring of budgets and processing financial transactions.
Must have a positive attitude and display emotional intelligence and maturity.
A flexible approach and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Experience in a tertiary environment is highly desirable.
Base salary range: $100,524 – $111,534 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

Responsibilities
Guide researchers in identifying contacts and potential funding from government and non-government organisations, and manage research contracts and agreements, including negotiation and review.
Identify and support the pursuit of research funding opportunities, including drafting and reviewing competitive funding applications.
Provide guidance on budget preparation, facilitate expert research methodologies, and ensure quality assurance and integrity in research activities.
Requirements
Postgraduate qualifications and relevant experience in public health research or equivalent education and training.
Proven skills in research management and working autonomously, preferably in a large, complex institution.
Knowledge of industry, philanthropic, and Australian granting schemes, with experience in writing and editing competitive funding applications (e.g., ARC, NHMRC, MRFF).
Experience in successfully engaging with external and research partners.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to organise and prioritise work, effectively meeting deadlines under pressure.
