Responsibilities
Serve as the principal advisor to the Head of School and the wider School community on all matters related to University, Faculty, and School policies, operations, legislative requirements, budget management, and core business processes.
Contribute to both strategic and operational management, ensuring the delivery of high-quality teaching, research, and operational goals through collaboration with various organisational stakeholders.
Assist the HoS and the School Executive in developing strategies, setting priorities, and establishing measures of success.
Coordinate review processes, advise on organisational structures, facilitate the efficient operation of research and commercial projects, and ensure a seamless experience for staff, students, and external stakeholders.
Provide assurance that risks are effectively managed through strong management controls, ensuring compliance with relevant statutes and standards.
Support the HoS in navigating major policy changes.
Requirements
Hold a postgraduate degree.
Possess substantial experience in a similar leadership role, preferably within a higher education context.
Demonstrate strong financial acumen and an ability to work independently, paying close attention to detail while taking initiative within established policies.
Experience in financial and budget planning, human resource management, and student and academic administration.
Experience in developing administrative strategies and policies, leading multi-site teams, and effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders.
Understanding of the unique culture and challenges of a global university aiming for a top 50 ranking.

Requirements
Doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences or significant progress towards gaining a PhD in Biomedical Sciences.
Record of demonstrable scholarly and professional achievement in Biomedical Sciences, particularly in Microbiology and Human Pathophysiology.
Experience in program design and curriculum development at a university level.
Demonstrated teaching in Microbiology and Human Pathophysiology.
Research expertise in a relevant discipline of Biomedical Sciences.
Evidence of research strategy and research leadership, with an emerging research track record, including high-quality publications and external funding.

Responsibilities
Oversee facility operations, including planning, budgeting, safety, animal care, and training, to achieve strategic goals for resource development and infrastructure.
Liaise with veterinarians, represent the facility in audits and inspections (OGTR, OHS, AEC), and manage orders, finances, and imports.
Communicate with stakeholders, assist with SOP revisions, manage staff leave and AMS requests, and contribute to annual reports and risk assessments.
Requirements
A degree or diploma in Science or Applied Science (Animal Technology).
Experience operating in a biological research facility at a senior level.
Familiarity with the database used across the Bioresources platform.
Understanding of a wide variety of animal-based techniques.
Familiarity with the regulatory system governing research including the 'Code', Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act and OGTR.
