Responsibilities
Contribute to the ongoing development of the University’s offerings in Occupational Therapy, Associate Degree in Allied Health and related health programs.
Lead and deliver courses and develop programs.
Build strong industry linkages to develop and deliver a modern and relevant teaching program with positive student outcomes.
Engage in research for the discipline.
Requirements
Relevant formal qualifications in Occupational Therapy and registration (or eligibility for registration) as an Occupational Therapist by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
Full registration in good standing as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Professions Regulation Agency (or international equivalent).
Detailed knowledge of the accreditation standards for the development of occupational therapy programs.
Experience in tertiary level program design and curriculum development.
Clinical experience in hospital, industry or private practice, sufficient to train novice clinicians and provide professional development for peers.
Experience in clinician education, ideally within the university sector, including experience in the development and delivery of curriculum and assessments using multi-modal delivery approaches.
Strong interprofessional relationships within allied health and a proven commitment to interprofessional education and collaboration.
For Senior Lecturer: a research track record demonstrating a strong commitment to furthering knowledge in the discipline and engaging with industry. For Lecturer: a research track record or extensive clinical and/or tertiary teaching experience.
