Our Centre for Health Research utilises an interdisciplinary approach to health issues that have the greatest impact on communities, especially in regional Australia. From mental health and wellbeing to aged care, sport and exercise, artificial intelligence, health economics, health biomarkers, and cancer survivorship, the Centre aims to better understand, prevent, and support health in regional and priority populations.
We are currently seeking a researcher to join our team as part of the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) funded Research Program titled: ‘Models of Care for Sexuality & Gender Diverse People & People with Innate Variations of Sex Characteristics (IVSC; the Program)’. This program’s vision is to co-design and develop integrated, person-centred models of care that improve the physical and mental health and wellbeing of people with innate variations of sex characteristics (‘IVSCs’; also known as intersex variations, differences of sex development or a number of individual diagnostic terms), as well as their families, including those with intersectional disadvantages.
Your research will be focused on Work Package 1 which is centred around integrating and evaluating resourced clinical and community psychosocial support. You will:
The Research Project will conduct a robust psychosocial service evaluation which will result in an evidence-based and reproducible psychosocial model of care for people with IVSCs.
