Remuneration Level B position $123,620 - $145,730 + 17% Superannuation and annual leave loading)
Responsibilities
Demonstrate and continuously develop a well-defined teaching philosophy that inspires student learning.
Conduct classes, assess student learning achievements and support students in postgraduate and undergraduate courses in line with UNSW policy.
Design and develop learning activities and resources, and assessment and feedback using a range of suitable approaches and learning environments.
Initiate the development of experimental approaches to teaching and learning with the support of more senior academics.
Support learning progression with students as individuals (through such activities as one-to-one consultation) and as a cohort (through general course related advice) to achieve positive learning and employability outcomes for students.
Regularly support the School’s engagement activities, including but not limited to undertaking professional experience liaison visits, marking the Graduate Teacher Performance Assessment, participating in and assisting with Open Day and other student recruitment events, and engaging with accreditation and compliance requirements.
Requirements
A PhD, a teaching qualification, and other relevant qualifications and experience in primary and academic literacy.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Australian education systems and successful classroom teaching experience.
Actively stays up to date with discipline knowledge and professional development.
A track record of engaging with the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning framework to apply new understandings and insights in the field of education.
Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant discipline-based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales).
Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning (desirable).

Lead the elective Internships team at the University of Adelaide.
Manage institution-wide support for internships and work-integrated-learning throughout the student lifecycle.
Grow and develop new industry and government relationships and partnerships to facilitate increased internship opportunities for students.
Lead the delivery of continuous business improvement and planning functions.
Provide leadership and support to staff who coordinate internships.
Requirements
Proven experience in leading, developing, motivating and managing a high-performing team to deliver service excellence and continuous improvement.
Demonstrated experience in relationship and partnership development and management.
Successful record of building close and productive relationships and partnerships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian higher education environment including national policy, strategies, issues and practices of work-integrated-learning and internships.
Experience in effectively and strategically developing, leading and managing multiple activities and projects in a complex environment with competing deadlines.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing including the ability to negotiate agreements.
