Casual Scientific/Technical Officer, Simulation Learning
The Simulation Learning team in Technical Services is establishing a pool of casual technical/scientific officers who can support learning and teaching across the nursing and paramedicine disciplines in the Faculty of Health.
Successful applicants will have the following:
- A Bachelor degree in an area relevant to nursing or paramedicine or an Associate Diploma level qualification with at least two years subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, or training
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team using excellent interpersonal skills with a proven capacity to communicate effectively
- Ability to effectively organise and prioritise work in order to meet deadlines and competing priorities
- Well-developed problem solving skills including the ability to contribute to continuous improvement
- An understanding of theoretical aspects and experience in the practical application of relevant nursing/paramedicine skills, as well as the ability to use specialised equipment (e.g. high and low fidelity clinical simulation equipment) associated with these techniques
- High-level digital literacy skills, including Microsoft Office and relevant equipment specific software or the ability to quickly acquire these skills.
Additional Information
Successful applicants will be contacted by the team leader and provided with a casual contract. Your resume will remain on file for 12 months.
Casual contracts should only be accepted if the appointee is confident they have the capacity to complete the appointed hours. Candidates should be available for shifts between 7am – 9pm to support classes.
