The Lecturer in Information Technology (internally known as a Learning Facilitator) is an academic role involving teaching, scholarship and research including the potential to supervise PhD candidates. Extra non-teaching responsibilities such as the management or leadership of subjects or courses may be allocated based on course needs and the incumbent’s individual skills, expertise and development. The role is responsible for preparing, delivering and assessing subjects as allocated. This role works to ensure students are provided with the best opportunity to attain learning outcomes and satisfactorily complete their assessment tasks. It also participates in course review initiatives, including validation and moderation activities and appointees are required to be available to provide student support outside of timetabled class hours.
