Base salary will range from: $130,046 - $137,525 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 9)
Responsibilities
Identify, assess, and manage business development opportunities, ensuring quality and compliance standards.
Develop and refine tools, systems, and processes for efficient business development, including cost pricing, personnel management, and tender documentation.
Contribute to budget preparation and ensure revenue and engagement targets are met.
Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including strategic collaboration with the Global Development Hub.
Lead, manage, and mentor the ID team, providing guidance on business development, engagement, and technical advisory work.
Requirements
Degree and post graduate qualifications in a Development related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and training with at least 5 years management experience.
Significant knowledge and experience in the field of international development and/or international capacity building including tendering to secure business.
Knowledge of donor funding and government aid funding arena and experience working with Australian Government clients such as DFAT, other donor entities and Government agencies or corporate entities.
High level skills and experience in business development and tender writing with a proven track record of success.
Evidence of strong and effective leadership and management of functional groups and teams including direct staff reports.
Strong business acumen and relevant skills in designing business development strategies, sophisticated budgets and financial proposals within commercially competitive settings.
Proven record of strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, build and maintain strong business relationships.
Proven ability to work to strict deadlines and multitask across a range of proposals and business opportunities.
