Responsibilities
Troubleshoot issues with equipment and coordinate maintenance services.
Undertake routine training, maintenance, and upkeep of facilities and equipment.
Liaises with clients and stakeholders, including property and facilities and contractors regarding work requests for maintenance, facilities and cleaning issues.
Provide assistance to other QBI support staff and Facilities as required.
Coordinate and/or support risk assessments, inspections, and audits; assists with maintaining high levels of safety and safety compliance.
Conduct inductions and safety briefings, maintain registers, and perform regular safety checks of emergency equipment such as first aid kits, defibrillators, and biohazard and chemical spill kits.
Maintain accurate training, chemical, and equipment records; apply and/or provide information/advice in specialist areas of knowledge; assist in the development of operating procedures and maintenance records.
Maintain accurate records of activities and results/outcomes; provide support to higher-level committees and meetings.
Requirements
Completion of a Bachelor degree in a relevant field; or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, knowledge, experience and education/training.
Demonstrated commitment to a high standard of customer service, and a willingness and ability to perform a wide range of operational tasks.
Demonstrated experience and skills in managing small projects in the area of facilities and infrastructure.
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to engage effectively, in writing and in person, with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
Demonstrated computer literacy and skills in Microsoft Office, and experience in dealing effectively with clients.
Organised and methodical approach to tasks.
Analytical skills sufficient to assess problems and propose appropriate solutions.
Must be self-motivated and able to work constructively to objectives with limited guidance.
