Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of pre-award services to support researchers with funding applications.
Provide expertise and authoritative advice on funding opportunities and grant guidelines.
Ensure compliance of RMIT’s applications with funder and university requirements.
Assist the Manager in building a high-performing team through mentoring and staff development.
Contribute to work allocation, planning, and process improvement.
Requirements
Significant experience in research grant administration.
Excellent knowledge of national and international funding schemes.
Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively in a team to deliver customer service.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including editing and presentation skills.
Experience using research management systems and adopting new technology tools.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
History of behavior aligned to RMIT values and professional leadership.
Experience assisting academic staff with budget preparation is highly regarded.
