Responsibilities
Engage in cutting-edge research at the forefront of sustainable energy production.
Work closely with HAMR Energy, an industry leader in renewable fuel technologies.
Develop state-of-the-art process simulations, life cycle assessments, and emissions reports.
Use advanced tools like the Monash Environmental Impact and Energy Assessment tool.
Contribute to the development of cleaner, more efficient production processes for green methanol from forestry biomass waste and hydrogen.
Requirements
Strong background in chemical engineering, sustainable energy, or a related field.
Experience in process simulation and life cycle assessment.
Proficiency in software tools such as Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or DWSIM for process simulation.
Experience with SimaPro or GaBi for life cycle assessment.
Proficiency in Excel or Python for data analysis.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Holds an Australian (or equivalent international) Honours or Master’s degree with a significant research component and first-class honours/H1 awarded.
Final year students in an Australian Bachelor's Honours degree will be considered if completed by the end of Semester 2, 2024.
