Level D – $175,858 - $193,740 p.a. plus 17% super (Additional clinical loading of $13,494 p.a. with dental qualification)
Responsibilities
Delivering high-quality, benchmarked teaching with contemporary pedagogical insights to ensure high satisfaction in degree programs and CPD courses.
Undertaking clinical teaching supervising treatment of student periodontic cases to completion of care.
Demonstrate a proactive reflective teaching practice through seeking guidance from senior teaching staff and student feedback.
Requirements
A completed PhD in a relevant field such as Periodontics or a related discipline and a completed specialist dental qualification in Periodontics or Periodontology.
Extensive clinical experience in Periodontics.
A strong track record in research with an established publication profile.
Ability to supervise research higher degree students, graduate and postgraduate research students through to thesis completion.

The Periodontics faculty member will serve in the Department of Diagnostic, Surgical, and Integrated Sciences.
Core responsibilities will include clinical instruction.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must possess a D.D.S./D.M.D. degree, or international equivalent and have successfully completed the NBDE Parts I & II or the INBDE.
By the position start date, the candidate must have completed a CODA-accredited graduate program in Periodontics; must be Board Certified, or eligible for Board Certification, as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology; and must have active Maine Board of Dental Practice licensure (full/faculty).
