Salary
Base salary will be in the range $78,871.35 - $105,004.02 + 17% Superannuation (Academic Level A)
Responsibilities
Establish a research program and collaborate on research projects.
Seek and manage research funding.
Publish in reputable journals.
Utilise best practice research methodologies.
Participate in project discussions.
Supervise students and manage employees.
Provide performance feedback and training.
Resolve conflicts and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.
Develop partnerships and demonstrate leadership through mentoring.
Engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, and provide support to colleagues.
Requirements
Completion of a PhD in fields relating to molecular biology.
Strong experience with molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, including PCR, cloning, and recombinant protein expression.
Knowledge of and experience with recombinant display libraries (e.g., phage, yeast and/or mRNA display).
Experience with cell biology techniques, including cell culturing and flow cytometry, is considered favourably.
Experience with peptides is considered favourably.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and independently on research projects.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including evidence of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
Successful candidates may be required to complete pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia.
