- Base salary will be in the range $78,871.35 - $105,004.02 + 17% Superannuation (Academic Level A)
Responsibilities
- Establish a research program and collaborate on research projects.
- Seek and manage research funding.
- Publish in reputable journals.
- Utilise best practice research methodologies.
- Participate in project discussions.
- Supervise students and manage employees.
- Provide performance feedback and training.
- Resolve conflicts and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.
- Develop partnerships and demonstrate leadership through mentoring.
- Engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, and provide support to colleagues.
Requirements
- Completion of a PhD in fields relating to molecular biology.
- Strong experience with molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, including PCR, cloning, and recombinant protein expression.
- Knowledge of and experience with recombinant display libraries (e.g., phage, yeast and/or mRNA display).
- Experience with cell biology techniques, including cell culturing and flow cytometry, is considered favourably.
- Experience with peptides is considered favourably.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and independently on research projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including evidence of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
- Successful candidates may be required to complete pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia.
