Salary
- Associate Lecturer (Level A) $98,574 - $105,611 or Lecturer (Level B) $111,031 - $131,335 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to and establish new capabilities and research streams within a dynamic research program.
- Deliver teaching in microbiology/parasitology, zoonotic diseases, and biotechnology.
- Introduce innovative approaches to teaching at all undergraduate levels.
- Supervise Honours, Masters, and PhD students.
- Travel to China for teaching as part of the Haide College program.
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent degree in Biological/Biomedical Sciences with a focus on molecular and/or protein biology.
- Demonstrated research excellence and knowledge in molecular and/or protein biology.
- Relevant publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Potential to contribute positively to and/or obtain external funding as a co/lead investigator (Level A).
- Demonstrated success in contributing to or obtaining external funding as a co/lead investigator (Level B).
- Demonstrated teaching experience in parasite molecular and/or protein biology at undergraduate level (Level B).
- Experience in the supervision of Honours, Masters, and/or PhD level students (Level B).
