Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the development, maintenance, and organisation of the museum's database and acquisitions process.
- Ensure accurate and consistently formatted records of the museum's objects and new acquisitions.
Requirements
- Degree in Museum Studies, Information Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in museum collections management, database administration, or similar roles
- Strong familiarity with museum cataloguing standards, as well as database systems like EMu, or similar
- Excellent attention to detail and efficient organisational skills
- High proficiency in data entry, record-keeping, and documentation
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration
- Analytical mindset with the ability to generate insights from collection data
- Understanding of legal and ethical considerations in collections management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities

Responsibilities
- Develop effective learning materials and activities as part of a design team and demonstrate awareness of ongoing innovation in curriculum design.
- Assist in applying industry, clinical and/or research practice into student learning experiences, success, engagement and resources.
- Deliver effective teaching practices within unit and suggest approaches to innovate teaching practices to improve student success and engagement.
- Maintain appropriate discipline knowledge and constructively review and refine own teaching practice to help maintain teaching quality standards.
- Conduct high-quality research, scholarship and creative activities generating high impact outputs, with mentorship.
- Engage collaboratively to participate in novel and high-quality research or creative activities.
- Communicate outputs, including as part of team.
- Ensure impact of academic activity on the field and the community.
- Contribute to Deakin community and its effectiveness via local engagement and citizenship activities.
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience.
- Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design.
- Emerging research and scholarship through publications, and/or exhibitions as appropriate to the discipline.
- Ability to contribute to communities through research.
- Capacity to contribute to teaching, research and administration.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
