Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver courses, engage in curriculum design, coordinate courses, assess students, provide academic counselling, and adhere to university teaching rules.
- Establish a research program, collaborate on research projects, seek and manage research funding, publish in reputable journals, utilize best practice research methodologies, and participate in project discussions.
- Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.
- Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.
Requirements
- Demonstrate excellence/a high level of leadership in teaching, research and service and engagement in teaching.
- Strong record of supervising Higher Degree by Research students successfully to completion as principal supervisor.
- Aspire to achieve national recognition in their field of research for Level B.
- Active and effective record of supervising Higher Degree by Research students successfully to completion for Senior Lecturer.
- Ability to engage/maintain an active role in internal and external collaborations that enable the development of others.
