Responsibilities
Perform flow cytometry and multiplex protein assays.
Ensure the safe operation of the lab and maintenance of equipment.
Transportation and processing of human blood samples.
Assist in preparation for NATA accreditation.
Work collegially with academic and professional staff, students, and industry stakeholders.
Requirements
Laboratory experience in flow cytometry and multiplex protein assays.
Ability to maintain effective workplace relationships.
Experience in a research or diagnostic testing environment.

Responsibilities
Contribute towards the research effort of UNSW and develop research expertise through defined projects relevant to the immune response in human samples and/or pre-clinical models.
Profile immune responses using techniques such as flow cytometry of systemic and mucosal immune cell subsets, immune cell stimulation assays, and cell culture.
Generate new knowledge and translational discoveries.
Requirements
A PhD in a related discipline (Immunology) and/or relevant work experience.
Proven commitment to keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
Demonstrated ability to undertake high quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations and awards relative to opportunity.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines, and build effective relationships, while also taking initiative and working independently.
Evidence of highly developed interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and students.
Ability to analyse and solve problems in a methodical and logical manner.
Excellent communication and time management skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
Preference for candidates with previous experience in experimental studies relevant to the exploration of the adaptive immune response in pre-clinical models.
