Maintain oversight of curriculum development, ensuring high-quality teaching, continuous improvement, and alignment with strategic plans, while managing staff and fostering their development.
Manage the financial performance of the discipline, including budget planning, expenditure monitoring, and revenue generation, while ensuring compliance with University policies and financial requirements.
Engage with educational and screen-industry bodies to inform strategic directions, establish industry links, and pursue research opportunities to enhance the discipline's and University's international standing.
Foster multidisciplinary collaboration, create a strategic research plan, maintain personal and departmental research excellence, mentor staff, seek international research opportunities, and supervise high-quality graduate research students.
Requirements
A PhD, Doctorate, or equivalent professional practice.
Demonstrated management skills, including inclusive decision-making, planning, budgeting, and resource distribution.
Strong commitment to teaching at all levels, innovation in curriculum design, and significant contributions to higher education.
Comprehensive knowledge of University policies and procedures, especially related to student and staff matters, curriculum, and wellbeing.
Proven leadership in fostering scholarly excellence, promoting research, developing research training, and effectively managing staff and community engagement.
