Salary
(HEO6) $89,383 - $96,550 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.
Responsibilities
Provide expert advice to research funding applicants, including interpreting program guidelines and reviewing submissions for compliance.
Administer a portfolio of research funding programs, ensuring applications are submitted before sponsor deadlines.
Promote key research funding opportunities and contribute to the development of procedures to streamline application processes.
Collaborate with Research Development and Business Development teams to align research capacity with funding and commercialization opportunities.
Support the effective operation and continuous improvement of research funding services.
Engage with key stakeholders across the University, maintaining strong relationships with Institutes, Schools, Faculties, and affiliated research organisations.
Requirements
Understanding of the University sector, funding of research and of related structures and processes in a research-oriented field.
Demonstrated capacity to evaluate and interpret complex rules, policies and procedure.
Demonstrated high-level knowledge of standard office computer software, internet and database packages, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing IT environments.
Experience in research grant administration, including interpreting guidelines and reviewing research related project budgets (desirable).
Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.

Responsibilities
Participate as a critical and senior team member of the RGCF leadership team and support the development of strategic and operational plans for RGCF’s portfolio in alignment with the research needs of the University.
Lead the delivery of post-award services, including research contracting and post-award contract management.
Lead innovative change and process/system improvement within RGCF to support greater client satisfaction and efficiency as well as increasing data accuracy, including development and implementation of new tools and systems.
Encourage and embed a high performance, service culture as a means of driving improvement by ensuring clear objectives, feedback and the improvement of outcomes through behaviours and practices.
Requirements
A Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant training and/or experience within the industry.
Extensive experience leading in a complex, service orientated organisation that has a proven track record of effective delivery and client satisfaction. This should include high level experience in assessing risk factors associated with research management.
Proven capacity to create efficient end to end processes in post-award/Contract to Output areas, informed by analysis and with measurable outputs.

Requirements
