Responsibilities
Apply specialised expertise in applications such as SAP Business Objects, Power BI, Excel (M and DAX), and programming language, such as Python.
Provide data-based solutions for business problems with insightful reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders across UQ to identify trends and opportunities for service delivery improvements.
Independently collect, interpret, and analyse data from existing data sources and provide support to stakeholders in developing new data sets.
Provide this data intelligence for decision making related to resource allocation and business process development.
Analyse and optimise data reporting, including live-updating dashboards.
Clean and prepare datasets for modelling.
Maintain awareness of relevant technology and software improvements to benefit the collection, integration, presentation, and analysis of data within UQ.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and subsequent experience in a relevant field.
Demonstrated ability in compiling and analysing complex data sets.
Working knowledge of Data transformation techniques: aggregation, resampling, filtering, etc.
Demonstrated application of data intelligence to address and enhance student experience, retention, and employability development within the higher education sector.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
Python programming skills.
Familiarity with SAP Business Objects, Power BI, and Excel (M and DAX) will be highly regarded.

Requirements
Postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience and proven expertise in digital project delivery ideally within the higher education sector; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
Extensive experience and highly developed analytical skills, ideally with knowledge of student information systems, research management systems and enterprise resource planning systems.
Demonstrated understanding of and experience in the planning, development, integration and implementation of digital technology, preferably within higher education.
Excellent business acumen skills with the ability to lead digital impact assessments and risk mitigation to optimize business processes.
Extensive experience working with vendors or commercial agents, and a proven understanding of procurement and contract management using GITC frameworks.
Experience and knowledge of guidelines, best practices and operating principles in alignment with frameworks and methodologies including but not limited to ITIL 4.0, COBIT, NIST CSF, Agile, TOGAF, PRINCE2, DEVOPS, Six Sigma.
