undertake teaching and training of students in clinical setting (which can include some but not solely teaching in a simulated clinical setting), applying clinical experience and expertise to inform best practice teaching

Requirements
APHRA registered
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
qualified health professional or practitioner with more than 3 years clinical experience who have already developed skills and competencies
significant experience working in a clinical setting and proven ability to apply expertise and knowledge to inform clinical practice teaching
experience in clinical or simulated teaching and learning in a tertiary environment (or clinical placement), as evidenced by student coaching and skills development
demonstrated success in implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives with a clinical and patient care focus

Responsibilities
Provide academic and clinical leadership in paediatric education, research, and training across graduate dental programs.
Lead national-level research and curriculum development in paediatric dentistry, influencing the discipline through clinical and scholarly expertise.
Preparation and delivery of teaching with contemporary pedagogical insights to achieve a high standard of teaching satisfaction in our entry to practice degree programs and continuing professional development (CPD) courses offered by the School.
Regularly contribute and lead curriculum development, assessment and evaluation renewal and redesign in consultation with relevant academic and professional staff in the School.
Undertake clinical teaching supervising treatment of student paediatric cases to completion of care including coordination and multidisciplinary referral and care, as required.
Administrative tasks associated with the subjects taught, including consultation with students, marking and assessment.
Requirements
A completed PhD in a relevant field such as Paediatrics or a related discipline and a completed specialist dental qualification (or equivalent) in Paediatrics with the ability to register with the Dental Board of Australia through AHPRA (with no current or prior notifications).
Experience in clinical teaching in dentistry and demonstrated ability for excellence in clinical teaching including the capacity to initiate and develop course development and teaching materials.

Play a key role in the Australian Research Council Discovery Project, driving innovative solutions to improve outcomes of marine habitat restoration.
Coordinate and engage in research on animal responses to marine habitat restoration projects in Western Australia and Victoria, under the guidance of senior academics.
Build understanding of the reasons behind the unexpected responses of animals to restoration efforts to enhance project effectiveness.
Contribute to the broader Australian Research Council Discovery Project aimed at improving biodiversity outcomes of marine habitat restoration.
Requirements
A PhD or equivalent qualifications and experience in marine ecology or a related discipline.
