Responsibilities
Coordinates the University’s Immunization Compliance Program
Maintains and updates the Electronic Health Record database appropriately
Assists with the clearance and compliance of students in meeting matriculation requirements to ensure compliance with university requirements for attendance and requirements to participate in clinical and other experiential leaning opportunities
Processes student health records for clearance
Serves as a resource for students regarding the University’s immunization requirements
Attends training and in-service sessions to maintain current programmatic policy and procedures and technological information
Works closely with academic and other units to identify and ensure unit compliance requirements
Upholds University mission through work performed
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Must be licensed in Maine as a health care provider: RN, ATC, MA or CNA and have two to four years of experience
Excellent oral, reading and writing, and organizational and time management, and data gathering skills
Ability to learn and use an electronic heath record
Exercise cultural competency and respectful consideration in a student population representing diverse cultures
Maintain professionalism, good judgment, and confidentiality
Ability to interact with a variety of people both in-person, via email, and on the telephone
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with multiple demands that often occur at the same time
Understand and follow guidelines of HIPAA policy for patient confidentiality
Preferred: Experience or training in a healthcare field
Working knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems

Design and develop educational materials, trainings, and onboarding curriculum related to RCR, research ethics, and compliance.
Coordinate and deliver training sessions to researchers (faculty, professional staff, students) related to RCR, research ethics and compliance.
Facilitate research-related on-boarding activities for new faculty/professional staff and the research off-boarding process for faculty/professional staff departing the institution.
Provide guidance to researchers on institutional policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices in RCR, research ethics and compliance.
Assist with the development of assessment tools and mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of RCR education programs and recommend improvements.
Maintain records and documentation of training participation and generate reports to demonstrate compliance and educational outcomes.
Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and institutional leaders to identify educational needs and opportunities for improvement.
Stay informed of changes in research ethics regulations, ethical standards, and best practices to ensure RCR programs are up-to-date and compliant with NIH and NSF federal program requirements.
May take the lead on special projects as assigned by the UNE Director of Research Integrity.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required in relevant field (such as ethics, education, science, or a related area).
3 years of experience in research administration or related compliance experience (e.g., IACUC, IBC, IRB).
Prior experience in coordinating and delivering RCR education programs is desirable.
Familiarity with research ethics, regulatory requirements, and best practices in responsible conduct of research.
Experience in curriculum development and educational program design.
Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment in the Office of Research Integrity.

This is a hybrid, full-time position (40 hours per week) that requires 2-3 days of work in the office each week, with travel to both the Biddeford and Portland campuses.

In coordination with the Academic and Student Affairs teams as well as the Dean’s office, this position will carry out all assigned daily administrative and operational duties related to supporting faculty and students, programs and services, and other key administrative functions that promote the College’s academic mission in a student-centered environment.
Provides a high level of administrative, communication, and organizational support
Prepares courses within the Learning Management System for each term and maintains them throughout the semester
Uploads and enters information into Learning Management System and other appropriate software programs
Reviews and edits lecture capture files
Builds and deploys electronic assessments and generates performance reports
Provides support for students requiring accommodations (proctoring)
Assists with gathering information for electronic textbook order annually and maintains textbook lists for each class
Trains students and faculty on academic software systems

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any field and 1 to 3 years of relevant administrative experience in higher education or similar medical/dental organizational environment or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired
Knowledge of and experience working with a Learning Management Systems is preferred.
Strong computer skills and extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Google Docs and other programs such as Brightspace, Examsoft, CoursEval, VitalSource, and Ad Astra.
Experience in academic affairs or educational support is preferred
Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software systems
Excellent oral, written, reading, and spelling/grammar skills

TeleSANE project activities will include, but not be limited to in-service education and training, equipment orientation for new SITs and preceptors, 6 hours of education for non-SITs and hospital staff; review and revision of policies and procedures as needed in collaboration with site nursing staff.

Requirements
Current Maine license to practice as a Registered Nurse or APRN in good standing.
State-credentialed Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner with a minimum of 3 years current experience as a practicing forensic nurse.
Experience with adult instruction and public speaking.
Familiarity with policy and procedure development.
Familiarity with state and federal laws affecting sexual assault/abuse crimes.
Familiarity with forensics as it pertains to the sexual assault patient, medical/forensic terminology, nursing advocacy with sexual assault patients, trauma-informed and patient-centered care, and local advocacy resources.
Ability to work on a team, communicate clearly, and support SITs/nurses who are learning the specialty.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
