We are currently recruiting for either a Senior Lecturer or an Associate Professor in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics. Senior Lecturer in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics (Level C)
Position Context: As a Senior Lecturer, you will contribute to the leadership, coordination, design, and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics. You will conduct high-impact research and play a significant role in advancing the discipline at a national level.
Duties:
- Coordination of large undergraduate or specialised postgraduate programs.
- Lead a team in the delivery, development, and review of curriculum.
- Design and teach innovative courses that engage students.
- Conduct and lead impactful research, producing publications and conference papers.
- Supervise Higher Degree by Research (HDR), honours, and postgraduate students.
- Obtain research funding through grants and contracts.
- Provide leadership and mentoring in curriculum design and teaching delivery.
Essential Criteria:
- PhD in a relevant discipline.
- Proven effectiveness in curriculum development and teaching.
- Demonstrated leadership in course/program coordination.
- Strong record of research publication and student supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Desirable Criteria:
- Accredited Practising Dietitian with Dietitians Australia or Registered Nutritionist with Nutrition Society of Australia.
Associate Professor in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics (Level D)
Position Context: As an Associate Professor, you will provide leadership in the coordination, design, and delivery of the School’s coursework programs in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics. You will be recognized nationally or internationally for your contributions to the discipline and will foster excellence in teaching and research.
Duties:
- Lead the coordination of large undergraduate or specialised postgraduate programs or Discipline.
- Lead a team in the delivery, development, and review of curriculum.
- Make significant contributions to the scholarship of teaching and disciplinary research.
- Conduct and lead innovative and high-impact research.
- Supervise HDR and postgraduate research projects.
- Obtain necessary research funding from grants and consultancies.
- Mentor and coach junior colleagues to enhance their teaching and research performance.
Essential Criteria:
- Completion of a PhD in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated leadership in course/degree program coordination.
- Distinguished record of nationally/internationally recognized research.
- Proven ability to build sustainable industry partnerships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Accredited Practising Dietitian with Dietitians Australia or Registered Nutritionist with Nutrition Society of Australia.
