Responsibilities

  • Follow infection control protocols and model protocols for students
  • Prepare, sterilize and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment to support clinic operations
  • Maintain inventory of clinic materials, supplies, and instruments
  • Quality assessment and maintenance of dental instruments
  • Report clinical equipment failures and maintain clinical equipment, as directed
  • Maintain/record logs related to equipment operations, sterilization, and dispensing
  • Participate in required training and mandatory in-services
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma and any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • 2 or more years of experience in clinic, hospital clinic, or dental office (preferred)
  • Preferred knowledge of dental instruments and terminology
  • Ability to effectively interact with faculty, professional staff, and students, and patients
  • Experience with computers, printers, copy machine operation, and telephone operation
  • Strong commitment to excellent customer service and contributing to a positive clinical environment
