The Opportunity
As a member of the Nursing team, you'll enhance the student learning experience during clinical placements, ensuring they become job-ready nursing graduates. Collaborate with the Nursing leadership team to train and support clinical facilitators and assist clinical course coordinators. You'll also play a crucial role in developing and maintaining key health partnerships, expanding our work-integrated learning opportunities. Join us and help shape the future of nursing education!
You will
- contribute to the student learning experience while they are on clinical placement;
- support students to become successful and job ready nursing graduates;
- work with the Nursing leadership team to train and support clinical facilitators and provide support to clinical course coordinators; and
- develop and maintain key health partnerships to support and grow our work integrated learning footprint.
About you
You will have sound experience in nursing within a clinical practice setting, a commitment to providing a supportive and valuable learning experience for our students, and willing to contribute to a positive and engaging academic environment, enabling excellence for both staff and students.
Your passion will be to provide education programs that build clinical and professional expertise and capability for our students and to ensure that these programs and other strategies reflect clinical evidenced based best practice.
You will possess:
- completion or near-completion of a master’s qualification in a relevant field or equivalent accreditation and standing;
- registration as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
- evidence of quality clinical education of students in various forms: including simulated, telehealth, external and internal placements;
- membership of, and sound connections with relevant professional bodies, community groups and in professional practice;
- strong personal qualities and collegial approaches that contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive academic environment which is conducive to high levels of engagement and standards of achievement for both staff and students; and
- evidence of participation in academic development activities and the desire to continue to learn and improve as an effective academic.
Desirable
- experience undertaking academic administrative functions, such as course coordination, within a university.
